Bonneville 60, 10 year event

On September 4th, 1958, Triumph started the production of Bonneville, before making them available in the market during the Earls Court Show in November. Today, Triumph continues to expand the range of Bonneville, by making numerous variants.

The month of September is a special time for Triumph, as it indicates the immense amount of success they had over several years. During the Bonneville 60, the motorbiking company will put a large number of Bonneville’s on display, going back all the way to the ones from the first production. At the same time, Triumph wants to make sure that the guests who attend this celebration have a great time. For instance, the organisers have asked several manufacturers to set up merchandise stands. They are also allowing individuals to showcase their motorbikes so that you can get to see these machines up close. As this event takes place once every 10 years, you will come across a variety of machines, going back all the way to the 20th century.

The event will take place on Uttoxeter Racecourse, in Staffordshire, from 14th – 16th of September.

Let’s take a look at what Bonneville 60 has to offer:
    Friday

      The gates to the event will open at 11am, during which, you can settle down by setting up a camp. Once it becomes evening, bars and hot food will open, so that you can start mingling with all the attendees. On Friday night, Old Skool, a popular rock band from the UK, will be the entertainment. Thanks to their expertise, they can play popular tunes from Whitesnake, Steppenwolf, AC/DC, Neil Young, Bon Jovi, and Kings of Leon.

      Saturday

        The Bike Show will start at 11am, and it is open to the public. If you are planning on participating in this event, make sure that your motorbike is ready to be put on display, before the start of the event. The organisers have gotten experts to form a panel of judges to decide who wins this event. The winners will get hand-crafted trophies, as a token of appreciation for their efforts.

        The Triumph Owners Motor Cycle Club (TOMCC) from various locations in the UK, will have static displays so that you can enjoy looking at fine pieces of machinery. Joining them will be Trident & Rocket 3 Owners Club, along with the Staffordshire Police Department. The project leader of Triumph’s Engine Development department will be present at the event to answer any questions of the guests. Legendary motorbike engineer, Norman Hyde will also be there, to talk about his involvement with the company.

        As there will be custom motorbikes on display, you can’t afford to miss this event. On Saturday night, Miles2Darby, pop and rock cover band will keep you on your feet as you enjoy the party.

        Sunday

          After having breakfast, the organisers expect you to leave the venue by 3pm.

          Tickets

            If you pre-book your tickets online, it will only cost you £18. Keep in mind that the entry fee covers for camping, which makes it a great deal. If you want to pick up the tickets on the day of the event, you will have to pay £22. You can bring children under the age of 16 for free.
